son Oil is a small propane gas distributor located in Platner Colorado. We have never had a major accident related to propane despite being in business for over 50 years. We strive to keep it that way by implementing good safety programs and emergency response plans. The site in this RMP plan is separate from our main center of operations. There is one 18,000 gallon LP storage tank located in the town of Akron. Sometimes our trucks refill at this site and the majority of the time the tank is relatively empty. Long term planning calls for this tank to be moved from the Town of Akron to the Platner site.
