The NBWater Dept maintains a Chlorine leak detection system at the process point. Warning systems are also maintained at the entry to the process point. A Hazardous Spill SOP is in force and is supplied to all effected employees and evacuation procedures for all employees are also in force and are reviewed. The New Britain LEPC has been given all pertinent information with regard to the Chlorine on site.Because of the in-depth training given to the local Fire Department Personnel, they have been designated as the first responders to a leak situation.
