Anhydrous ammonia is received, stored and distributed for both direct application and for blending into mixed-grade fertilizer for crop production nutrients.

The maximum quantity stored would be 140,200 pounds in our 30,000 gallon storage tank. The maximum quantity handled would be the unloading of a delivery truck holding 42,000 pounds.

The worst-case release scenario would be the release of the total contents of our storage tank released as a gas over 10 minutes. The maximum quantity released would be
140,200 pounds, which represents the volume of the storage tank at 85 percent capacity as limited by the design standards. The distance to the endpoint is 1.63 miles.

The alternative release scenario would be the failure of the loading hose which would release 11,908 pounds over two minutes. The distance to endpoint would be .6 miles.
