The City of Kingsland stores 4 one (1) ton cylinders of chlorine at the Water Treatment Plant #1. Two (2) of the chlorine cylinders are in use, while the other two (2) are on standby for change out. As result, the chlorine operations at this site are minimal. The City Water Operations Department does not respond to chlorine emergencies at htis site. The City of Kingsland Fire Division will respond. In addition, an emergency response team from Allied Chemicals in nearby Brunswick, Georgia will respond in the event of a chlorine emergency.
