The accidental release prevention and emergency response policies at our facility are as follows: We would contact the Walnut Fire Department and our LEPC - Terry Hummel. This facility has 2 12.000 gallon anhydrous ammonia storage tanks to service our rural customers with fertilizer. Our worst case senario would be if a full tank of anhydrous ammonia would erupt, release its contents and cause an ammonia cloud. The area of 3.2 miles around our plant would have to be evacuated. This facility complies with EPA regulations. We have never had an accident. |
