BOAR'S HEAD MAINTAINS THAT WE WILL UTILIZE THE BEST INSTALLATION STANDARDS AVAILABLE TO THE AMMONIA REFRIGERATION INDUSTRY, WE ARE MEMBERS OR THE IIAR AND STAY UP TO DATE ON THE LATEST TECHONOLOGY THAT IS USED IN OUR PROCESS (see attached ammonia refrigeration guidlines for details) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The plant has recently opened and we expect to be in full production within 1 year, the installation of the ammonia refrigeration system was the most advanced in the realm of techonology that has been installed in recent history. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Boar's Head management team recognizes that the safety and safety training of our associates are paramount to an environment of productivity and well being of the associates in our facilities as well as the surrounding communi ty, we have on staff a full time safety coordinator and a health care associate on all production shifts. We routinely train all of the staff on process safety as well as lockout tagout hazcom and food safety. We have located ammonia detectors in all areas where there is a risk for an ammonia leak, we have engineered in controls and a water absorbtion system in the event of a multiple system failure, will contain any ammonia that would be discharged through the relief valve vent lines. The training that we utilize for the operators of our ammonia refrigeration system consists of hands on, books and computer assisted training. We continuously monitor and audit our PSM system in order to prevent mechanical or operational failures of our system. |
