For safety purposes Sweetland Ag Tech will be using the safety and training manuals plus tapes that are in compliance with Iowa State laws and regulations. There will also be yearly hands on training. The Sweetland Ag Tech facility already has many safety features in use. They include; excess flow valves,back check valves,emergency shut-offs,NH3 safety respirators,water tanks for full body emersion, relief valves, and pull away safety couplings. We plan to have yearly training sessions with the responding fire department,Wilton Fire Dept., to familiarize them with anhydrous ammonia and any possible changes to the facility or in regulations.
