MINNEOLA COOP, INC. IS AN AGRICULTURAL BUSINESS. WE SERVICE AREA CROP PRODUCERS BY PROVIDING THEM WITH FERTILIZER AND OTHER INPUTS. OUR PLANT CONSIST OF 127,000 POUNDS OF ANHYDROUS AMMONIA (ONE 18,000 GALLON & ONE 11,000 GALLON TANK.) THE FACILITIES ARE DESIGNED AND MAINTAINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS. THE EMPLOYEES WHO WORK IN THE ANHYDROUS PLANT ARE TRAINED IN SAFETY MEASURES ON AN ANNUAL BASIS, ALSO THE EMPLOYEES INSPECT THE PLANT EACH YEAR BEFORE THE FERTILIZER SEASON STARTS. THE WORST CASE SCENARIO WOULD RELEASE 79,000 LBS. AND WOULD HAVE A DISTANCE TO ENDPOINT OF 1.89 MILES AFFECTING NEARLY 750 PATRONS. PUBLIC RECEPTORS WOULD INCLUDE SCHOOLS, RESIDENCES, HOSPITAL, AND A PUBLIC PARK. THIS COMPANY HAS NOT EXPERIENCED AN INJURY ACCIDENT IN THE LAST FIVE YEARS. OUR EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN WAS GIVEN TO THE MINNEOLA FIRE DEPT. AND THEY HAVE AGREED TO RESPOND IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY.
