The Sharon Farmers Coop Elevator Co. is a locally farmer owned cooperative located in Sharon,ND. We deal in agricultural commodities and agricultural inputs including anhydrous ammonia. It is the intent of Sharon Farmers Coop to handle these products with utmost in employee and environmental safety. Sharon Farmers Coop has never had an accidental release of anhydrous ammonia. However, it should be noted that accidental releases can happen at any anhydrous ammonia storage facility. Our company is always on the lookout for methods an equipment to improve the handling safety of this substance. All method or equipment improvement are implemented as soon as they become available. Sharon Farmers Coop has planned for and have coordinated with local emergency responders to adequetely respond to all accidental releases we percieve may occur at our facility, from a simple hose break to the release of the entire contents of our largest storage tank. Sharon Farmers Coop wants to insure the public that the handling and storage of anhydrous ammonia is safe. We have extensive employee safety training, maintenance, and inspection programs in place as well as written handling procedures designed with safety in mind. Our company spends a great deal of time, money, and resources to insure that this product is handled in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. |
