According to the Clean Air Act 112 (r) of 1990, and federal regulation 40 CFR Part 68, the Risk Management Plan (RMP) is established to reduce the incidence of accidental releases of chemicals from manufacturing facility. 
Parlex Corporation meets the criteria for Program 1 RMP based on the following conditions: 
1. Parlex Corporation in the Methuen facility has no history of significant release of listed toxic and flammable chemical substances in the past 5 years. 
2. Parlex Corporation has no direct potential affect to public receptor by hypothetical worse-case release. 
3. Parlex Corporation has developed an Integrated Contingency Plan and coordinated with emergency response teams both internally and externally. 
However, attached RMP was established for pollution prevention purpose.
