A descripttion of your facility and the regulated substances handled: Located on Hwy 36 near the thomaston upson airport, the Quad Graphics- The Rock facility houses heat web offset presses. Quad Graphics is a company that prints catalogs, advertisement inserts,monthly and weekly periodicals. The plant consists of 5 connected buildings, totaling 571,000 square feet under roof. The facility was built in 1995 with operations starting september of 95, the facility now employs over 700 people. The facility has one 30,000 gallon propane tank that is used as aback up to our natural gas system. The worst case realease scenario: Quad Graphics Worst Case Scenario is failure of the one 30,000 gallon storage tank when filled to the greastest amount allowed (88% at 60* F), resulting in a vapor cloud explosion. According to the EPA's look up tables , the distance endpoint has be determined to 0.4 miles. There are 3 private homes within the 0.4 miles distance to the endpoint, with a population of 12. The general accidental release prevention program and chemical-specific prevention steps: This facility complies with the EPA'S accident prevention rule and all applicable state and local codes,laws,and regulations. The propane system is designed,installed, and maintained in accordance with NFPA-58 and state law. Five-year accident history: Quad/Graphics-The Rock has never had an incident or accident involved with the facilities propane system that has caused death,injury,property or environmental damage,evacuation,or shelterings in place. The emergency response plan: In the event of an emergency involving the facilities propane system,it is Quad/Graphics policy to notig y the local fire department and request that they respond to the emergency.
