The regulated substance on site only includes chlorine. The Waihee Deepwell pump facility is equiped with an automated chlorine leak detection system which activates the alarm and contacts the standby operator. The facility was constructed in 1976 and has no accident or incident history to date. The emergency response plan is outlined in the Chlorine Leak alarm and Containment Policy. The inventory of chlorine at the Waihee Deepwell pump facility has been reduced to amaximum of 1400 Lbs. which is below the reportable limit. This report supersedes the previous submission made on June 9, 1999.
