Mace Adhesives & Coatings Co., Inc., manufactures solvent and water based polyurethane adhesives and coatings, primarily for the textile industry. Mace employs, on average, 15-20 full time employees at the Dudley, Massachusetts facility (it's only facility). 
In the case of an accidental release, the severity of the release, will first be determined. 
Secondly, the hazard to employees will be accessed, and the appropriate actions will be instituted. 
In the case of a minor release, within the facility, it should be contained throught he use of absorbant material. Wet material on the floor should be transferred into suitable  17H drums. Absorbant material contaminated by the spill should also be transferred into 17H drums and marked accordingly. During this time all non-essential personnel will be removed to another section of the facility, until the release has been eliminated. 
In the case of a major release, the facility will be evacuted in the following manor. If the spill creates a sit 
uation that will contaminate soil, surface water, or ground water the appropriate agencies will be notified (DEQE Division of Hazardous Waste, and the local fire department, who have a copy of the Mace floor plan, and a file of our MSDS's). Fire marshals throughout the facility will alert the proper agencies, obtain the copies of MSDS's, and sound the evacuation alarm. All employees will evacuate the buildings via the nearest the closest marked emergency exit, and proceed to the upper parking lot. There the Head fire marshal will proceed to account for all employees and/or visitors present at that time. When all power has been shut off and everyone has been accounted for, any non-essential employees will then leave the premises, via one of the two driveways. One of the fire marshals shall wait at the corner of Roberts Road and Cortis Road, with Mace's MSDS's for the Fire Department/DEQE. 
In the event of fire, the employee  making the dicovery, can in the event of a small contained fire 
, extinguish it with one of the foam type extinguishers located throughout the facility. 
If the fire is not easily containable, the employee will sound the alarms and/or announce a general evacuation over the intercom system.
