Hope Farmers Elevator Co. is a farmer owned grain elevator cooperative located in Hope, ND. We deal in agricultural commodities and agricultural inputs including anhydrous ammonia. It is the policy of Hope Farmers Elevator Company to handle this substance in a safe manner according to Local, State, and Federal regulations. Hope Farmers Elevator Company has never had an accidental release of anhydrous ammonia. In the unlikely event of an accidental release we have planned for and have coordinated with local emergency responders to adequetely resond to any release we forees could happen at our facility, from a simple hose break to the release of the entire contents of our largest storage tank. Hope Farmers Elevator Company has extensive maintenance, inspection, safety and operating procedures in place. It is our intention to maintain our equipment in the best possible condition and to make improvements whenever new or better equipment is identified. Our employees are trained annua lly on the safe handling and storage of anhydrous ammonia and our operating procedures are reviewed regularly to insure that our process is as safe as it can be. Hope Farmers Elevator Company wants to insure the public that the use of anhydrous ammonia is safe. Our company annually spends a great deal of time, money, and resources to insure that this substance is handled in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. |
