The City of St. Marys stores 150 lb. cylinders of chlorine at the Weed St. Wastewater Treatment Plant. The majority of the chlorine is used at the other sites in the city, such as chlorine booster pump stations for the water system. As a result, the chlorine operations at this site are minimal. The City Water and Sewer Departments do not respond to the chlorine emergencies at the site. The Camden County Fire and Rescue will respond. In addition, an emergency response team from P.B.&S. chemical nearby Jacksonville, FLA. will respond in the event of a chlorine emergency.
