Our emergency plan, should there be a complete tank rupture, will be as follows: Notify and evacuate all neighbors within worst case scenario 2.5 mile release area Notify local LPC of release and work with him, and any other people he may contact, to execute his plan Establish wind direction and speed so measures may be taken in that area Use our 30,000 gal water storage to slow or stop movement of gas cloud, if possible Utilize as many fire truck & similar equipment in the area to form a water curtain in the path of cloud movement I have contacted and went through procedure with more than 25 water spraying units within a 10 mile radius of ammonia tank. These include fire trucks, our own water & spray trucks and individual fire fighting rigs. |
