1. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE PREVENTION AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE. 
This facility complies with OSHA 1910.38 and EPCRA requirements for Nh3 storage and it is our policy to 
adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws.  If an emergency were to occur, it is our policy to 
notify the Garner Fire Dept. and request that they respond to the emergency. 
 
2. DESCRIPTION OF OUR FACILITY AND REGULATED SUBSTANCE. 
This facility is a Coop, handeling grain and commercial ferilizers.  We sell Nh3 to our patrons as a service. 
There are two 12,000 gallon Nh3 tanks and its associated piping, pumps, and valves. 
 
3. WORST CASE SCENARIO. 
Our worst case scenario is a failure of one of our 12,000 gallon storage tanks when filled to the greatest 
amount allowed (85%) , resulting in a toxic gas release.  According to EPA's RMP COMP. the distance to 
the endpoint is 3.1 miles.  Ther 
e are residences, public areas, Schools, offices, and a nursing home within the distance endpoint, with a total population of 722 people. 
 
4. EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROGRAM. 
In the event of an emergency involving our Nh3 system, it is our policy to notify the Garner Fire Dept. 
Members of the Fire Dept. have walked through our facility. 
 
5. FIVE YEAR ACCIDENT HISTORY. 
We have never had an accident involving Nh3 that caused death, injuries, property or environmental 
damage or evacuations. 
 
6. PLANNED CHANGES TO IMPROVE SAFETY. 
Safety improvement is an ongoing process at our facility.  Periodic evaluations are performed to assess the maintinance of safe conditions.  No changes planned
