The B-Y Water Treatment facility is for the purpose of supplying safe drinking water to its customers. B-Y's storage of Hazardous Materials applies in the use of Chlorine storage only. B-Y reviews all safety procedures with all employees. B-Y also reviews procedures with employees in case of an accidental release. The B-Y Water District has never had any accidents or accidental releases. The Chorine room can only be entered from the outside of the building and is enclosed in a separate room within the facility. Safety equipment is all operational and employees are trained in safety procedures. In addition, B-Y is upgrading its chlorine room in the fall of 1999.
