Accidental release and emergency response: We attempt to comply with NFPA58 requiments for LP-gas storage and state fire codes.  If an emergency should occur our policy is to contact Logan Co. Rural fire dept. 
 
Chestervale is a county grain elevator located in rural Logan co.  We have a 12000 (water Capy) and a 3000 (water capy) of propane to supply grain drier in the fall.  After the drying season the large tanks will be empty or be nearly empty.  All tanks/pipes have check valves and relief valves. 
 
Worst-case release would be leakoff or rupute of the large tank during the 2/3 day period when it is full.  According to the EPA tables this risk area would be .4 mi.  There are two occupied homes in the zone with 5 peopl 
 
We attemp to comply with all safty/accident prevention rules of EPA, state, local regulations.  The propane system complies with NFPA-58. 
 
We have never had an accident involving propane that caused death, injury, damage to property or environment or evacuation. 
 
If an  
event of emergency with our propane storage we will contact the Logan County fire dept. 
 
We plan no changes to our system but plan to continue safty inspection, and maintenance.
