Sorrento Cheese Co, places a great deal of emphasis on the health and safety of our employess and the community. To that end, safety begins within the plant. The ammonia refrigeration system is less than 3 years old and is state of the art. Should any type of release occur, there are safety mechanisms in place that stop the flow of ammonia immediately. Should a catastrophic release occur, Sorrento maintains an emergency response team at the site and we also have a contracted refrigeration company which is available 24 hours per day 7 days per week.
