In the event of a spill, the Facility Manager and Safety Manager must be immediately notified. The Safety Manager will be the On-Scene Commander of the spill. The area must be evacuated of all workers and the area barricaded off. The City of Sandstone Fire Department must be notified and asked to respond. The local fire department will provide emergency assistants on the scene. If directed, the State of Minnesota Emergency Response Team will be notified and asked to respond. After the spill has been contained, the local Institution Administration Staff and the Regional Safety Administrator will be notified. As the last resort, the inmate population will be evacuated to another secured facility.
