Pacific Calcium Inc has had no releases or injurys from the use of the Propane fuel for Equipment.  LeRoy Rothrock the Manager directs his employees to have the upmost respect for Propane both in loading the tank and loading the equipment.  If there was a accidental release all personnel are instructed to evacuate the area immediately and call the Okanogan County Sheriffs Office and the Tonasket Fire Department-This is facilitated by being on the Emergency 911 System.                                                                                                                                                                    THE ACCIDENTAL RELEASE PREVENTION AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE POLICIES AT OUR FACILITY.  This facility complies with the requirements for LP-Gas storage, and it is our policy to adhere to all applicable federal, state and local lawa.  If an emergency were to occur, it is our policy to notify the Tonasket Fire Department and Okanogan County Emergency Response via the  
in place Emergency 911 Telephone number.                                                                                                                                                                     A DESCRIPTIOIN OF OUR FACILITY AND THE REGULATED SUBSTANCES THERE:  This facility is a quarry processing plant.  We process Calcium Carbonate and Magnesium Carbonate for use as soil amendments for sale to the public.  We use propane as fuel for some of our equipment.  The sysem consists of one 15,000 gallon propane tank which fuels our tractor loader and other equipment as needed.                                                                                                                                                                     THE WORST CASE SCENERIO  Our worst-case senerio is failure of the 15,000 gallon storage tank when filled to the greatest amount allowed (88%@60 deg F) resulting in a vapor cloud explosion.  According to EPA's look-up tables, the distance to endpoi 
nt is 0.3 miles.  There is one private home within that distance with a total population of 2 people.  There is another private home just outside the boundary.                                                                                                                                                                  THE GENERAL ACCIDENTAL RELEASE PREVENTION PROGRAM AND CHEMICAL-SPECIFIC STEPS: This facility complies with  all applicapable state and federal codes and regulations.  The propane system is designed, installed, and maintained in accordance with State and Federal law.                                                                                                                                                                           FIVE YEAR ACCIDENT HISTORY  We have never had an accident involving propane that caused deaths, injuries, property or environmental damage, evacuations, or shelterings in place.                                                                  
                                                                                                  THE EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROGRAM.  In the event of an emergency involving our propane system, it is our policy to contact the Tonasket Fire Department via the EMERGENCY 911 number and request that they respond to the emergency.  The Tonasket Fire Department is aware of the presense of the Propane Tank at the facility.                                                                                                                                                                  PLANNED CHANGES TO IMPROVE SYSTEM:  None
