A description of your facility and the regulated substances handled: Located near the intersections of US HWY 41 and Wisconsin HWY 49, the Quad/Graphics, Inc. - Lomira facility houses rotogravure Presses and Heat Web Offset Presses. Qua d/Graphics is a company that prints catalogs, advertisement inserts and monthly periodicals. The plant proper consists of 13 connected buildings, totaling nearly 1.63 million square feet under roof. Purchased in 1984 from California Canners & Growers, the facility now employs over 2000 people. The facilities three 60,000 gallon propane tanks are used at this facility as a back-up for our Natural Gas System. The worst-case realease scenario: Quad/Graphics Worst Case scenario is failure of one of the three 60,000 gallon storage tanks when filled to the greatest amount allowed (88% at 600F), resulting in a vapor cloud explosion. According to the EPAs look-up tables, the distance endpoint has been determined to 0.5 miles. There are five private homes within the 0.5 miles distance to the endpoint, with a total popu lation of 35. The propane system is designed, installed, and maintained in accordance with NFPA-58 and state law. Five-year accident history: Quad/Graphics - Lomira has never had an incident or accident involved with the facilities propane system that has caused death, injury, property or environmental damage, evacuation, or sheltering in place. The emergency response program: In the event of an emergency involving the facilities propane system, it is Quad/Graphics policy to notify the local fire department and request that they respond to the emergency.
