Farmers Grain and Supply Company of Greensburg is an agricultural business designed and operated to serve our customers in the area. Our propane plant serves our customers heating needs during the winter and also services the surrounding areas industry. The facility has 3-tanks.....(2-18,000 gallon and 1-6,000 gallon) that are designed and maintained in accordance with local, state and federal rules and regulations. The worst case scenario would release 1-18,000 galllon tank and 67,000 pounds of propane with a distance to endpoint of .3 miles and affecting nearly 200 people. The public receptors in that area are residences and local industries. All employees who work with the propane have been through the certified employee training program and recieve some training on a annual basis. Our employees inspected our facilities each fall just prior to the busy winter season. Farmers Grain has never had an injury accident in the last five years. The Greensburg Fire dept usually i inspects our plant on a annual basis and our company has shared and discussed our Emergency Respone Plan with them. More importantly, they've agreed to be our first responder in the event of an emergency. |
