The Versailles Water Treatment Plant uses chlorine gas compressed to a liquid to disinfect water supplied to numerous citizens in Woodford County, Kentucky.  At any given time, the facilityhas no more than 4,000 pounds of chlorine stored in individual 2,000 pound cylinders.  Either one or both cylinders may be connected to the feed system at any time.  A revision to the safety procedures manual took place in January, 2000 which added OSHA PSM and EPA RMP components to the plan.  The contents of the plan and associated training took place in May, 2000.  This RMP submission represents the pertinent aspects of that plan, detailing RMP covered processes, material, and release scenarios.
